Trouble

 How do we cope?

 We can in this life
have times of trouble.
But the question is
how do we handle it?

Troubles in life can come
in many ways and in many
different forms.

We can have troubles
in our lives when we
least expect them.
We can have troubles
also that are expected.

There can be troubling
situations within our
family life, whether
it be our closest relatives
or distant.

Also we can have troubles
in our professional lives
in many different ways,
whether it be trouble with
our colleagues or with
our employers.

One thing that we can be
certain of is that
in this life we will have
many troubles.

The Bible does not
promise us that we will
not have any troubles.
So God himself does
not say that we will
go through life without
experiencing any troubles
whatsoever.

Jesus himself was accustomed
to troubles within his
earthly life and within
his ministry, so
how can we expect
to experience any different?

This is truth, especially
if we desire and intend to
follow him, to be like
him and to live for him.

One thing that the bible
does promise is help
in and through the
troubling times and
situations.

Psalm 34 speaks
'A righteous man may have
many troubles, but the
Lord delivers him from them all;'
This shows that in those
troubles God is always there.

The answer through them may
not always be obvious or
easy, nor may the trouble
go immediately once we turn
to God with it.

But however long it takes
we know that God will help and
deliver us from those troubles,
yet it is always in his time.
This means it may seem
far too long for us.

But he helps us through
and delivers us from them
in his way, which we may not
at the time realise is
the best possible way and
outcome.

So when troubling times and
situations come, let us
not give in to despair,
but realise that he is
there with us to help
and give strength through them.
