Peaceful Living

Do we ever know Peace?

 What do we think of
when we consider peace?
What do we think of
when we consider what is
opposite of peace?

There are many things,
experiences, situations and
times within our lives
where we can know peace.

For some, they yearn for
peace within their nation,
as conflict has caused much
suffering, sometimes over
many years.

For others they can desire
peace within their family life,
where perhaps there is
contention between close
family members.

It could be that peace is needed
in a situation that someone
finds themselves in and
they cannot see an end to it
or a way out.

Or it could be a great
many of other reasons
that people desire peace
or need peace within their lives.

Peace is something that the
bible tells us that we should
know and experience within
our lives, but do we always
know this, and do we
always experience this?

Most Christians never seem to
find peace in all things and
in all situations, so how can
we know peace within things,
problems and within ourselves?

Philippians 4 verse 6 speaks of
the peace of God and how we
can or should know this. We
in all things and situations
need to pray to God with thanksgiving.

This is not giving thanks to
God for the situation or whatever
it may be but both giving
him thanks for the answer
before it has come, which shows faith,
and then also giving thanks through
whatever it may be, which shows trust
and faithfulness.

This is not in all the things
that we go through in life easy to do
and always apply to every area of life,
yet if we do not, this is one reason we
do not experience this peace.

The peace when we have it
may not actually remove the
problem or situation, but
what it does do is it
helps us through all things,
through all times and
through all things yet to come.
