Happiness

What gives us Happiness?

 There are perhaps many
different thoughts as to
what can give us happiness.

Is it always getting exactly
what we want in life?
Is happiness seeing others
prosper in many different ways?

Is happiness getting that
promotion which you may have
been seeking for a while?
Is happiness living in good health?

Possibly there are too many
different things that can
bring us happiness to fully
be able to mention.

Can wrong things make
us happy as well though?
The answer to this is
of course yes they can.

Sin can also give
us at least fleeting happiness,
although generally it is a happiness
that will not last.

Living for God though
always should give us
true happiness, a happiness
that endures.

This is not to say that
when we live for God we will
never be unhappy.

But he is always there
to pick us up and help
us along ,until we
can and are able
to know happiness in life again.

I do not believe that Jesus was
always happy himself.
He had things that made him
otherwise, such as in the
garden of Gethsemane.

Yet he did know true happiness
within his earthly life.
So also can we.

We can and will know more happiness
in life as we submit more
of ourselves to him.
Letting go of things that
in the end will bring us
and possibly others
unhappiness.

Let us then
live our lives
for him in
Happiness.

 Do people always listen?  One thing that is certain is that people want to be heard. We all want people to listen to what we have to say, whether they are someone that we know well or not. Freedom

Freedom in our lives. When we think of freedom what comes to mind?     Do we think of those imprisoned?  Do we think of Freedom of choice? Do we think of Freedom of speech? Do we think of Freedom in and from troubles? Do we think of Freedom from debt? Do we think of Freedom from sin? Do we think of Freedom in Christ? There are perhaps many different things that come to mind in what many would consider as our day to day living, and also within our Christian walk. However, the two really are one, as our whole life is a walk with God. But Freedom is something that for many is elusive.  In one or more of the things mentioned, whether through circumstances or choices made by us or others for us, in jobs, in family, in Government and many more. Something New

 Do you try anything new?  When a thing is new, it holds interest and can catch the attention of many. Whereas, when something is not new it needs sometimes a new way of doing it, something that will catch peoples' attention once again. What new things catch your attention? This can  be different for many people, a s people have different  interests, likes and dislikes. For some it can be a new car, for others it can be a new house, or possibly  for some it could be a new job. It may also be a new type of food which you have never tasted before, or a new hobby.
