Work

 How do you view Work?

 We all have work
which we need
to do.

There are different types
of work which we 
need to do on a 
regular basis.

Then there is also work
which we have to do
and work that we should
do, plus also work
that we try not to do.

Many will have employment
which they need to do to pay the bills,
so there is a need to work and through
the necessity of it there can
be a strong desire to work.

This is evident in many
who are unfortunate
who have either been
out of work or are currently
in that situation.

There is also optional work,
where we have work that
needs to be done at home
which we sometimes 
embrace or at others
force ourselves to finish the
work whatever it may be.

Within the Church there
is always work that
needs to be done and
work that should be done.

But how many individuals
are there within the Church
that are willing to do
the work that is needed?

There can be sometimes a
good number of individuals
within the Church that are willing
to do whatever it may be for the
Church to move forwards.

But unfortunately what
generally happens within
most Churches is that only a
small percentage of the
members actually are 
actively involved in the Church.

For some there are
genuine reasons why they
struggle to be involved
in working within the Church.
Whereas for others they
do not wish to give their
time to the Church.

We all need to realise
that the Church will
only function as it is
meant to by God if all
members of the body are
all working as they should.

If they are not, the Church
cannot and will not be
as effective as it should and
needs to be.

So let us all begin more
to accept this and then
to do something about it by
becoming as involved in
the body as we are able.

 Do people always listen?  One thing that is certain is that people want to be heard. We all want people to listen to what we have to say, whether they are someone that we know well or not. There can of course be many different topics of conversation,  dependant upon your listeners one subject may be more interesting than another to some. Something New

 Do you try anything new?  When a thing is new, it holds interest and can catch the attention of many. Whereas, when something is not new it needs sometimes a new way of doing it, something that will catch peoples' attention once again. What new things catch your attention? This can  be different for many people, a s people have different  interests, likes and dislikes. For some it can be a new car, for others it can be a new house, or possibly  for some it could be a new job. It may also be a new type of food which you have never tasted before, or a new hobby. Perhaps a new television or computer that comes out catches your attention, o r a new film or song that has been released.  Within the Church there can be new things, but also sometimes it can appear that there has not been anything new for some time. Commands

How many commands have you broken? There possibly are quite a  few commands which we have received within our lives. Some of the commands which we may have received though we may not quite take  as a command, or understand that it was  an actual command. In peoples' careers or places of employment, sometimes a command is given to an employee and it may not be seen as such or taken as a request  or suggestion. There are also those who are in authority, such as  politicians or those within the military who also give commands, but these expect to be obeyed. Which of course they  should be, and unless the individual wishes to be reprimanded in  some way, their commands  are followed.
