Walks

 Where do you walk?

 This is something
that the majority of
us do on a daily basis,
we walk.

Some may walk to
their place of employment,
for others it could be to visit
a relative or a
close friend.

Some also walk for
pleasure; they love to walk
for enjoyment alone, taking
delight in the journey that
they take.

Others also walk
for exercise, to keep fit,
which is of course good for
people to do.

Still others use walking
as a social event; they
love to walk with people,
either many or few.

Yet, is there always an
intended destination,
or when people
walk do they walk
just to enjoy it?

Walking is something
that as Christians we
understand can be taken in
a few ways.

This can be seen as actual
and also as figurative as well.
We may walk to Church, we
may walk as we serve
the Church in many
different ways.

But also we have a figurative
walk with the Church as well;
we can walk with the Church following
the direction it is going, or we can walk
a different way from this.

Then we also have another
walk that we always journey
upon, this is our walk with
God, it is a continual walk.

Sometimes we are figuratively
walking side by side with him,
other times we are walking behind
him, again we can be walking
our own direction and he calls
to us to bring us back to his side.

Sometimes though, we expect
him to follow the steps
that we take rather than the
right way, which is us
to follow the path that
he wants to lead us on.

Let us then enjoy our
walks wherever they may be,
and let us enjoy our walk with God,
where we step by step learn the
way he wants us to go.
