Participation

 Do you take part?

 Participation is something
that we all know
and all either do
or do not.

We at times may 
participate in different
things, of which there
can be many various
possible things to participate in.

Perhaps it can be a 
sport which you participate
in, or maybe a sporting event,
for which preparations need to 
be done to achieve your best.

Or it could be another type
of activity which you
may have an interest in which
includes others.

Whatever the activity,
there is always a
choice as to whether
you take part or not.

This also, of course,
applies to and within the
life of the Church.

We all have a choice
whether we decide to
be involved with many
possible events within 
church life.

At times, as with all things,
we may not have the
desire, wish or 
motivation to become
involved in certain
types of things and events.

At other times we just
do not want to be involved
at all, but prefer to take a
back seat for a while.

Whereas upon other occasions,
we desire to be involved
with as much as we are able
and have the ability to do.

Participation can be dependant
upon our lives and situations contained
within our lives at certain times. Because
of these perhaps problems, we do
not feel we are able to be involved
as much as we usually would.

Or also is could be that we are
going through a very good time
within our life, this can at times
cause us to be more involved
within the church.

Yet at other times
some may, due to the good
time within their life, could
just enjoy this without becoming
involved with that which they
perhaps know that they should.

Participation also depends
upon our choice, but besides
this it can depend upon our 
emotions and perhaps
can also be affected by others.

But let us seek to be more
obedient to God, to do that
which we should participate
within, to be a true part
of the life of the Church

 Do people always listen?  One thing that is certain is that people want to be heard. We all want people to listen to what we have to say, whether they are someone that we know well or not. There can of course be many different topics of conversation,  dependant upon your listeners one subject may be more interesting than another to some. But sometimes when an individual is talking, they can tell that the one they are speaking to is not really listening. Something New

 Do you try anything new?  When a thing is new, it holds interest and can catch the attention of many. Whereas, when something is not new it needs sometimes a new way of doing it, something that will catch peoples' attention once again. What new things catch your attention? This can  be different for many people, a s people have different  interests, likes and dislikes. For some it can be a new car, for others it can be a new house, or possibly  for some it could be a new job. It may also be a new type of food which you have never tasted before, or a new hobby. Perhaps a new television or computer that comes out catches your attention, o r a new film or song that has been released.  Within the Church there can be new things, but also sometimes it can appear that there has not been anything new for some time. Commands

How many commands have you broken? There possibly are quite a  few commands which we have received within our lives. Some of the commands which we may have received though we may not quite take  as a command, or understand that it was  an actual command. In peoples' careers or places of employment, sometimes a command is given to an employee and it may not be seen as such or taken as a request  or suggestion. There are also those who are in authority, such as  politicians or those within the military who also give commands, but these expect to be obeyed. Which of course they  should be, and unless the individual wishes to be reprimanded in  some way, their commands  are followed. Why though within the Church do some not  then follow the same  example, as for example soldiers who follow their commanding officers' commands as they are given. This of course...
