Gifts

 Do you prefer to give or receive gifts?

 When you think of
gifts, what immediately
comes to mind?

Perhaps most would instantly
think of either Christmas
or also their birthdays, and
perhaps any other occasion
where gifts have been
presented, such as 
a wedding or christening.

Most of these though are
when we generally receive gifts
for one reason or another,
which many people
love to do.

People enjoy the surprise
also of receiving an 
unexpected gift, something
that was not given for
a specific event or day.

Some though find just
as much joy and pleasure,
if not sometimes more, in the
act of giving rather than receiving.

As Christians we should love
to always give to others and 
of course to God through
different means and ways.

Is it though always thinking of
self when we like to
receive gifts from others
or from God?

This can of course sometimes be
the case but not always, 
as each individual
may need to receive something
and it is not for any
selfish reasons.

Upon other occasions it
still is good to receive,
as God himself wants
us to receive good gifts.

God wants us to
know his gifts and he
also wants us to receive
from others, yet also he
wants us to be the one to 
give to others as well.

This is because, in doing this,
we are showing his nature
and character within 
our lives and our actions.

So let us enjoy receiving from
others, especially God, but
let us also learn more to
enjoy giving as well.

 Do people always listen?  One thing that is certain is that people want to be heard. We all want people to listen to what we have to say, whether they are someone that we know well or not. There can of course be many different topics of conversation,  dependant upon your listeners one subject may be more interesting than another to some. Something New

 Do you try anything new?  When a thing is new, it holds interest and can catch the attention of many. Whereas, when something is not new it needs sometimes a new way of doing it, something that will catch peoples' attention once again. What new things catch your attention? This can  be different for many people, a s people have different  interests, likes and dislikes. For some it can be a new car, for others it can be a new house, or possibly  for some it could be a new job. It may also be a new type of food which you have never tasted before, or a new hobby. Freedom

Freedom in our lives. When we think of freedom what comes to mind?     Do we think of those imprisoned?  Do we think of Freedom of choice? Do we think of Freedom of speech? Do we think of Freedom in and from troubles? Do we think of Freedom from debt? Do we think of Freedom from sin? Do we think of Freedom in Christ? There are perhaps many different things that come to mind in what many would consider as our day to day living, and also within our Christian walk. However, the two really are one, as our whole life is a walk with God.
